Technical Constraints Resolution

Technical Constraint can be described as any production-transmission circumstance or incident which could affect the safety, quality and reliability of power supply in accordance with the criteria set out in the Overall System Management Procedures Manual.

There are three mechanisms for the resolution of technical restrictions:

  • Resolution of technical constraints in the PDBF ('Day-Ahead Market'), which is broken down into two stages:
    • Programming change due to safety criteria;
    • Programming change to achieve balance between production and demand.
  • Resolution of technical constraints in the Intraday Market;
  • Resolution of technical constraints after the Intraday Market ('Real Time').
