The Guide for the Measuring, Reading and Provision of Electrical Power Data is of particular importance in a fully liberalized electricity market in which total transparency and impartialitly is required by network operators who are responsible for the supply, installation and reading of metering equipment, as well as for validating and aggregating consumption data associated to on the client portfolios of electricity suppliers. The Measurement Guide is approved by ERSE (Energy Regulator), further to reasoned proposals presented by the network operators, thus fully complying with Commercial Relations Regulations.

The network operator, as the entity responsible for providing count metering information, shall guarantee the independence of the service provided as well as the quality and integrity of the data supplied to the electricity market.
